The speech in noise experiment is part of University of Salford's The Good Recording Project which is trying to improve the quality of User Generated Content.

This experiment investigates how people perceive speech in noisy conditions and how this relates to audio quality.

The experiment should take around 15-20 minutes.

'I freely and voluntarily consent to be a participant in the research on the topic of speech perception. I understand: that I am free to leave at any time during the task; that my participation in this study is completely voluntary and that I may withdraw from it at any time without negative consequences. My answers in this survey will be completely anonymised and no identifying information will be collected. This site will collect answers and hold them securely. The arrangements for data storage and security comply with the terms of the Data Protection Act.'
